How to use it
Inside Miro: panel mode
Open PingBack from the Miro toolbar. It starts watching automatically.
Reactive mode (always on): write a new sticky note and PingBack will place a question beside it within 3 seconds of you finishing.
Selection mode: select any stickies already on the board, then click PingBack X stickies to ping only those.
Clear: click Clear PingBacks to remove all generated question notes from the board.

Via the website: Miro board mode
Visit pingback.work and click Connect with Miro. You will be taken to Miro's login page to authorise PingBack. No API keys or tokens required. Once connected, paste your board URL and click PingBack this board. Questions for every sticky on the board will appear on the page instantly.
Frame filter: if the board has frames, a selector appears automatically. Choose a frame to limit the run to stickies inside that frame only.
Translation: use the language selector to translate all questions into English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, or Chinese at any point.

Via the website: Mural board mode
Visit pingback.work and click Connect with Mural. Authorise PingBack via Mural's OAuth. No API keys or tokens required.
Once connected, paste your mural URL (from app.mural.co) and click PingBack this mural. PingBack reads every sticky on the canvas, generates one question per sticky, and shows the full list on the page.

Present mode
After generating questions, click Open N questions to open the presentation view. Each question appears as a card on a full-screen page.
Host: click any card to mark it as "Discussing now". Participants who have joined the session will see that card scroll into focus automatically. Use Run again to regenerate questions or Copy all to copy the list.
Participants: share the session URL or let participants scan the QR code shown in the corner of the presentation view. No login required to join. Sessions remain active for 2 hours.
Close: click the X button in the top-right corner to return to the main PingBack page.

Troubleshooting
Questions are not appearing in the Miro panel
Make sure PingBack is open in the sidebar. If you just added a sticky, wait 3 seconds. PingBack debounces to avoid interrupting you while you type. If nothing appears after 10 seconds, click away from the sticky to confirm it's saved, then try again. If the panel shows an error state, close and reopen it from the Miro toolbar.
Board URL is not being recognised
Copy the URL directly from your browser's address bar while the board is open. It should look like https://miro.com/app/board/uXjV.... PingBack also accepts just the board ID if you have it. Sharing links and embed URLs are not supported.
Session expired or "Please reconnect to Miro"
Web sessions last 7 days. If your session has expired, click Connect with Miro again to reconnect. You can also click Disconnect on the home page and reconnect immediately.
Session expired or "Please reconnect to Mural"
Mural OAuth tokens expire or can be revoked. If PingBack loses access, click Connect with Mural again on the home page to reauthorise. You can also click Disconnect and reconnect immediately. If Mural shows an authorisation error, make sure you are logged into the correct Mural account in your browser.
No sticky notes found on the board
PingBack skips stickies it has already generated (marked with 🏓) and stickies with very short or empty content. If your board only has PingBack-generated stickies, there is nothing new to ping. Add source stickies and try again.
Too many requests error
PingBack limits requests to protect service quality. If you hit the limit, wait 60 seconds and try again. For large boards, questions are generated in batches so the full list will arrive in a few seconds.
Limitations
- Web board mode reads up to 200 sticky notes per board per run.
- Each sticky note must have at least 3 characters of text content to be pinged.
- PingBack skips stickies it has already generated (identified by the 🏓 marker).
- The API allows up to 40 requests per minute per user in panel mode, and 10 full-board runs per minute in web mode.
- In web board mode, frames are supported as a filter. In Miro panel mode, PingBack processes sticky notes only. Cards, shapes, and other Miro item types are not supported.
Privacy
Your sticky note content is sent to PingBack's server and forwarded to Anthropic's API to generate the question. It is not stored or logged after the response is returned. When you connect via OAuth, your Miro display name is held in a server-side session that expires after 7 days or when you disconnect.

Install
Miro: find PingBack on the Miro Marketplace or install it directly from your Miro account under Apps. No configuration needed after install.
Mural: PingBack connects to Mural directly from the web. No marketplace install required. Go to pingback.work and click Connect with Mural. Authorise once and you're ready.
